Just for my math people...

My favorite math website is http://www.wolframalpha.com/ because it is so much more than answers. Students can use Wolfram Alpha to explore ideas and self assess their mistakes. It is helpful for all levels of math student and if you don't have an account, sign up for a free one today! There is also an app that is not very expensive that I encourage all of my students to purchase and I show them how to make the most of it whenever I can. I was organizing my favorites on my browser and I thought, what a nice blog, a list of my favorite teacher websites!

• Common Core Sheets – Great printables for common core by standard
• Discovery Education Puzzlemaker – For vocabulary repetition you can’t beat a word puzzles, turn your word list into activities here
• Education Portal – Help your students earn college credits before they graduate, this website will prepare students for CLEP exams so they can get some of those first year requirements out of the way for less money, also great for AP prep
• Tagxedo – Create word clouds in shapes that enhance their meaning
• Prezi – Save yourself and your students from boring old Power Points, just make sure you don’t get seasick
• Teaching Channel – Need inspiration to keep your classroom fresh, look no further
• Education.com – Printables and other great ideas for the classroom
• Maths Kit – Everything a math teacher could want
• Classroom Freebies – Another fun teacher blog with free resources
• ESL Glossary – Teaching ESL students can be its own adventure in vocabulary for teachers, this is a great resource to help navigate the alphabet soup of language learning
• Wolfram Alpha – Solve any math problem you can find, if you sign up for a free membership you even get step by step solution guides, it’s like the teacher’s edition for real life
